Teatime Favors with a touch of poetry.
Here is another inexpensive idea for a favour. Leaf tea can make a wonderful little favor for your guests and won’t cost you very much. You can make your own paper bags or buy some that are premade. The decoration of the bags is the key and there are plenty of ways to do it.
For example, adorn the bags with a colorful label or stamp and perhaps add an extra touch to your tea favour by writing one of the many tea proverb on the bags. There are so many gorgeous quotes, proverbs and quite a bit of tea poetry to choose from.
See the examples below.
"If you are cold, tea will warm you;
If you are too heated, it will cool you;
If you are depressed, it will cheer you;
If you are exhausted, it will calm you."
"Tea, heavens delight, and nature's truest wealth, that pleasing physic, and pledge of health; the statesman's counselor, the Virgin's love, The muse's nectar, the drink of love."
-A Poem Upon Tea, Peter Antoine Motteux 1712
Strange how a teapot can represent at the same time the comforts of solitude and the pleasures of company.
Each cup of tea represents an imaginary voyage.
Bread and water can so easily be toast and tea.
Tea is a cup of life.
Tea is liquid wisdom.
Great love affairs start with Champagne and end with tisane.
